The work

Restoration first. Everything else the license covers, too.

Full-service general contracting under one Washington license, with insurance restoration as the specialty — the emergency work that gets a house back to livable after something has gone wrong.

Water damage restoration

Burst pipes, appliance leaks, roof leaks, flooding. Dry-out, tear-out, and full replacement of drywall, flooring, cabinetry and trim — documented for and coordinated with your insurance adjuster.

Fire and smoke damage

Board-up, soot and smoke remediation, structural repair, and rebuild of the affected rooms — under one contract with one general contractor, not five separate subs the homeowner has to chase.

Storm damage

Wind, tree strike, wildfire aftermath, hail. Emergency stabilization and full repair — the Pacific Northwest version of a restoration call, from tarping to rebuild.

Drywall & interior finishing

The trade the company has held on its license since day one. New installation, patch and repair, texture matching, paint-ready or full paint — as part of a restoration job or on its own.

Full interior & exterior remodels

Kitchens, bathrooms, additions and full-scope remodels. This crew has raised a sunken living room in a 3,200-square-foot family home for wheelchair access, swapped carpet for hard flooring throughout, and brought the electrical and plumbing up to code on the same project.

Insurance claims

How a claim job actually gets handled.

Insurance restoration is a different job from a regular remodel — there is an adjuster in the middle, a scope of loss to agree on, and a homeowner who has already had a rough day. Here is how the process runs on our end.

STEP 01

Site visit and stabilization

We come out, document what happened, and if the damage is active — a burst pipe still leaking, a hole in the roof after a windstorm — we stabilize it first. Photos and moisture readings become part of the claim file the adjuster will work from.

STEP 02

Scope of work with your adjuster

We write the scope of repair and walk it with your insurance adjuster, in the line-item detail insurance companies expect. Where the adjuster's scope is missing something the house actually needs to be right, we make the case for it — that is part of the job.

STEP 03

Rebuild and final walk

Once the scope is approved we tear out, dry down and rebuild — one general contractor coordinating the trades, one point of contact for you. Final walk with the homeowner before we close the file.

Who shows up

Ten years, two owners, one job at a time.

North End Construction has been a licensed Washington general contractor since April 2016. Tyler Turner and Clinton Southard co-own the company and are the people on your job themselves — not a salesman who hands the work off to strangers once the paperwork is signed.

One of the reviews the company has says it plainly: a homeowner working with them on a whole-home remodel wrote that Tyler and Clinton were among the most professional and accommodating contractors they had worked with in the region — that they understood what the family needed and found the way to do it within budget. That is the kind of job the crew is built for.

The specialty is insurance restoration — water, fire and storm damage that has to be documented for a claim and rebuilt to code. The same license covers drywall as a trade and general residential remodels, additions and repairs, so the work does not have to stop at the edge of what the insurance is paying for.

All of this is a matter of public record. Washington Labor & Industries publishes every licensed contractor at lni.wa.gov — search license number NORTHEC844JQ and you will see the active status, the $1,000,000 liability policy, the $12,000 surety bond, and the specialty trades on file. You are entitled to check any contractor's status before you sign, and it is a fair question to ask everyone bidding on your property.
